Please fix this! Server or app issue whichever it is! Very annoying and has made this system very unreliable!

I was very happy with the app till the latest version and its not stop errors and failure to connect. I am looking at other systems to replace it now.

Please fix the app. It works sometimes but most of the time it gives me "device not recognized". Help!!!!

Unknown device error is sow thing that always shows up. If it isnt that, it is another error message that shows up network related. All the time that the app gives me error message I am still able to access the system on the browser which also has its own issues. Overall, QSee does not have the best software for security cameras. I have a night owl system which was a more reliable phone app and has a dedicated Mac app unlike Qsee. If you want a system that allows you to access the system without port forwarding, there are many other name brand systems that does the same thing and with more reliable software.

Try keeping an eye on your business with this piece of crap. Good thing I looked at the reviews. Wont get back the dollars on having my IT guy checking our wifi signal or the new router, but not gonna mind buying another system and ditching these clowns.

The app takes way too long to load, sometimes it works well for a while then some days the device is unknown. I only gave the app 1 star because I had to give it, at this point Im very unhappy with it. App never works.

Fix your horrible excuse of an app.

This app works 50/50. Sometimes, I have to go to LTE on my iPhone to view my cameras. I wish I had gotten Samsung.

When this app works, it works very well and is really user friendly. However, 7 out of 10 times I try to open it, I receive the the type of device is unknown error. Not being able to remotely view whats going on defeats the entire reason I purchased this system. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed.

After an update last night I cant connect says it doesnt recognize my device. When I could connect the app was very slow to connect even on high speed connection. When it does work its just an ok app. Now it is close to 50/50 if it will recognize my device or not. Very disappointed and from the reviews lots of other people are not happy either. Honestly, the video quality isnt even that great for the price that was paid. Very very disappointed. The device unknown error continues to be a problem. Based on the summary of ratings most people hate this system and rate it very low. Fix the problem!!!!!

When this app works, its fine, but it DOES NOT WORK at least 90% of bike. So, its pretty worthless.

Since last update, I cant connect to the cameras anymore. Email alerts still work, so all I have is snap shots of the event. I used to like my Q-See cameras, but Im about to go with another system if it doesnt get fixed soon.

I do get unknown device error alot lately with this version. I contacted qsee and they said they are working to fix it. In the mean time the only way to fix this issue is by restarting the phone and then it will connect ok

Instead of using the QR code scan to setup your app you need to click the address on the login page and set it up with your IP address and the Http port number. Click on the down arrow and setup a new network. Put in IP address and user id password information and save. Then click on it and it will populate on the login page. After the IP address there is a number. That is your port. Change it if it is wrong (mine was) and login. Worked like a charm!!

One would hope to have a reliable app with a company like Qsee. Spent almost 3k on a security camera system which cant be accessed on my iPhone 70% of the time. I constantly cant log in as I get the "device is unknown" message.

New app is Terrible works when it wants too. At work connecting to my cell phone network gave me unknown type of device after a few attempts trying to log in it might work again. My at home network works when it wants to also. I get unknown type of device. Only work around I found to log in at home is to turn off my wifi on my iPhone. So it connects thru my cellular data then I close the app turn wifi back on and itll connect. Such a hassle to sit there and do that.

Half the time my iPhone app gets the device unknown error . Called support and they are aware , but this should be priority one for them to fix since many people monitor there properties via mobile device like I do. Fix should have happened by now ... Makes me think customer support is a low priority for them. Support says to use laptop or tablet .... Sorry all devices should work !! Fix or become a Q-see toy not used for real security applications. Doesnt anyone in Q-see test before a release ? If so, they need a new test team.

Updated, ran into the "type of device is unknown" in installed, re-installed, then it worked great. Now Im still getting the message and unable to use the app for days at a time. Unable to log back in and turn the motion alarms back on after turning them off for my dogs to use the back yard. Give us back a version that will allow log-in. What good is security I have no access to??!!!! This is horrible!
